the Deep State operates out of an undisclosed location in Boston, Massachusetts. This elusive group — Tyler Brown on drums, Kenyon King on guitar | vocals, and Patti Ripton on bass — produces dark, brash, American rock n’ roll.

the Deep State released their eponymous debut LP in spring 2023. They were the last band to record in the original Zippah Recording Studio before it burned down. The incomplete tracks were pulled from the raging fire by Boston Fire Department. Undeterred, the band and producer Brian Charles finished recording the album in various studios around Greater Boston.

the Deep State writes songs about hardship and strife, telling relatable stories about people and places they used to know. Overcoming adversity is a theme woven throughout the album, in tandem with the challenge of creating the album itself.
